Abstract

Moyamoya disease is a cerebrovascular disorder characterized

by a chronique and progressive occlusion of both

intracranial internal carotides and proximal vessels of the

polygone of Willis, that determine clinically recurrent ischemic

cerebrovascular strokes.

A clinical case of a pediatric patient who underwent surgical

procedure of pial synangiosis, with a satisfactory clinical

evolution and imaging with evidence of collateral circulation

development to the surgical area.
